Nieve's mission is to help you achieve your highest potential and is committed to providing you with the tools to live a happier and healthier life. For some patients, this may mean a few acupuncture treatments, for others nutritional and lifestyle support may be added to achieve optimal wellness.

Nieve holds a Masters of Science in Ethnobotany from the University of Kent in England and a Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. She graduated with honors and sat on the college’s Advisory Board for 3 years. Trained in the styles of Master practitioners Kiiko Matsumoto and Dr. Mark Seem, she received hands-on clinical instruction in three styles of acupuncture; Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Kiiko Matsumoto Japanese Acupuncture, and Acupuncture Physical Medicine. Nieve is NY and VT State licensed, Board Certified in Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), CCAOM certified in Clean Needle Technique, and AHA certified in both adult and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Nieve is a member of the American Pregnancy Association (APA).  

Nieve is a trained Labor Support Doula through Doula’s of North America (DONA) since 2006 and completed postgraduate training in Acupuncture for Labor and Delivery and Stroke Rehabilitation at NYC Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She also externed at the St. Vincent's Rape Crisis Program in NYC specializing in PTSD, anxiety, and depression. In 2010, Nieve volunteered for a busy childbirth center in Haiti where she provided labor support and acupuncture care during pregnancy, and assisted the midwives with prenatal, neonatal, and postpartum care. Nieve lives in Vermont with her husband and their sons.
